- Comic Con Scotland Aberdeen
The dust has settled, Comic Con Scotland Aberdeen was a great success! The group, as always, enjoyed visiting Scotland's north east corner to attend one of our favourite events of the calendar. In attendance this year were some of the stars of Cobra Kai, Game Of Thrones, Supernatural, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Dr Who, GTA, Battlestar Galactica and a massive gathering of cast from 1997 sci-fi classic Starship Troopers . Located near the main entrance, it was great to see so many familiar faces. We had our ever popular Aliens display alongside a brand new Starship Troopers display, which went down very well with attendees. The pointy stick game didn't even get a look-in! Raising once more this year for local charity CLAN Cancer Support was a privilege, and with your help we managed to raise a respectable £225.O5 for them – which takes our total raised for CLAN over the last year to £57O.O5! Massive thanks to Ross at CLAN, all the staff at P&J and of course Monopoly for having us at their event once again. We are all counting down to next year's event!

- Capital Sci-Fi Con 2O26
We were at Edinburgh's Corn Exchange over the weekend, for the amazing Capital Sci-Fi Con . Nestled in the corner of the Baron Suit, with our Aliens and Judge Dredd displays, we had a great time and were kept busy throughout. The nerf facehugger targets were spinning in the firing range, the sweets pile in the alien egg got lower and lower over the weekend and the intrigue in the props table was ever present. Meanwhile Judges were recruiting new members and brandishing attendees with temporary tattoos and raising funds for CHAS with author Paul Deadeye's first issue of his Lovecraftian western comic Pale Moon Grimm . There were so many other great activities over the weekend... too many to name all of them. We had the pleasure of having the exceptional Jimi Henson Experience perform in the same room as us as well as some great Stranger Things and Harry Potter displays, the CHiPS bike and a huge Super Mario and Luigi... VERY HUGE! It was brilliant to have the Model Bunch group back along with Star Wars and Star Trek displays and a perilous Lego walk... We were so busy I barely made it into the main hall! The biggest room of the building included stalls, Ghostbuster displays and this year's guests: Peggy , AKA Dogpool, Kevin McNally , James Mackenzie , Nola Klop , Dee Tails , Murray McArthur , Samantha Alleyene and Shauna Macdonald . As Capital Sci-Fi Con returned for its eleventh year, they have raised over £484,O14.62 for CHAS (Children's Hospices Across Scotland) so far! There is currently an auction running until Monday 2nd March with some awesome items, go and check it out !

- "Happy New Year, It's 2O26!"
2O25... What a year, so many great memories! We spent the year travelling across the UK with our collection of displays and costumes, taking them to events in Aberdeen , Edinburgh , Glasgow , Fraserburgh and Liverpool . We loved meeting so many amazing and caring people who are so passionate about exceptional films and TV. Attendees at these events helped us raise money for local charities, something which is at the core of our group. For stand alone events, we managed to raise £17O1.18 for local charities this year, including: CHAS Children's Hospices Across Scotland , Clan Cancer Support , KIND , MND Scotland , SCAA Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance , CLAPA Cleft Lip & Palate Association and Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home . We are looking forward to 2O26 and the exciting plans that we are already working on. Catch you soon...
- Predator: Badlands ...Out Now!
The wait is over. Dan Trachtenberg's latest Predator outing is here! Following 2O22's comanche experience Prey , and the more recent 2O25 animated wonder Predator: Killer Of Killers we finally have another to enjoy... Predator: Badlands The film had its UK premiere at BFI IMAX in London on October 28, and is released nationwide today. Starring Elle Fanning as a Weyland-Yutani Synthetic and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as the runt predator, very much looking forward to seeing this on the big screen tonight!
- Comic Con Scotland: Judgement Day
The group had an amazing time at Comic Con Scotland last weekend, taking place in the gigantic Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh. Showcasing our Aliens and Judge Dredd displays, it was brilliant to have other groups near us this time. Lots of Star Wars, Ghostbusters and Dr. Who fun ...though, sadly no Davros! The weather was kind... no rain, it wasn't too cold. Although, the pigeons were at it again, even Optimus Prime was being attacked! Luckily we had an army of Judges, Colonial Marines, Predators and Xenos to tackle them. Rosario Dawson visited our display and talked about how much she loved the world of Aliens and Alien: Earth, which was great – and later she had a face to face encounter with one of our Xenos! Xolo Maridueña bumped into one of the group's daughter and friend and told them how much he loved their floppy ear hats – that made their weekend! We were raising for Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home this year, and managed to raise £466.22. Yet again, all the staff at the venue were amazing - many thanks to all of them and Monopoly for having us. Looking forward to the next event!
- Out Of This Cineworld
It's 2o25... the James Cameron, sci-fi masterpiece Aliens is 39 years old! The love for this film still burns strong with fans and it showed at Fountainbridge Cineworld in Edinburgh last night. We were invited to do a small display to surprise and welcome movie goers, with a chance to get photos with some of the films iconic pieces - Hicks' personal friend the M41A Pulse Rifle, Ripley's legendary Flamethrower, some mischievous Facehuggers and a Xenomorph! With next year being the 4Oth anniversary, we can't wait to see it again on the big screen!
- Broch 'N Roll!
On Sunday we had a great time in the north eastern town of Fraserburgh, taking part with an Aliens display at Broch Con's third instalment at the Cheers Bar & Tavern. Travelling up on the Saturday, we loved taking in the sights at Inverbervie Beach, the remarkable Dunnottar Castle and Aberdeen's "scenic route" along with the accompanying stunning countryside in between. The morning saw the venue transformed into Broch Con ! With an array of genuinely great stalls selling handmade merch and the Highland Cosplay, Mandalorian Wolfpack and Ghostbusters of Aberdeen groups we were in great company. There were a lot of Aliens fans out in force, which was great to see and everyone seemed to enjoy the weaponry display, bugs, stickers and facehugger sweetie surprise. We are looking forward to coming back in the future to this great event, which does a lot in raising money for local charities. The totals are still being counted for SCAA (Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance) , CLAPA (Cleft Lip And Palate Association) and MND Scotland .
- This Time It's Liverpool
Liverpool Comic Con was massive, utterly massive! We were set-up in the M&S Bank Arena, which is where we spent most of our time. We were in amazing company, sandwiched between Aliens cast members Jenette Goldstein, Paul Reiser, Mark Rolston, William Hope, Ricco Ross, Daniel Kash and a life size Powerloader and Predator trophy wall display. The room was filled with a vast array of props and displays from other films: a life size AT-ST and Imperial Bunker, Starship Trooper Bugs and Compound, the A-Team van, a Jurassic Park Explorer and Jeep and even Jabba the Hutt! There was such much more on offer, but sadly there wasn't the time to see it all. Seeing so many Aliens fans in one place was stunning and it was great seeing group members, old and new, engaging with everyone on all things Aliens and the extended universes. We trialled our new Nerf Shooting Range, which was enjoyed by everyone – including some surprisingly accurate Storm Troopers, Davros, who sounded like he was having the time of his life ...and Richard Chaves! AKA Poncho from Predator. He annihilated the targets! We were collecting for the Merseyside based charity Kind over the weekend, running an Aliens themed Tombola on both days along with buckets for the interactive parts of our display and managed to raised £615.OO! Thank you to everyone who donated. Whilst it was Star Wars Day: May 4th on the Sunday it was Aliens Day: April 26 the weekend before, which saw the release of an amazing documentary, Beneath London: The Story Of Alien War , that focusses on the unique and brief attraction Alien War. It was fitting therefore that one of Alien War's most decorated marines, Doug McCarthy, joined us on the Saturday as an honorary member along with some Alien War related items. If you haven't watched it yet, I suggest you grab yourself some cornbread, sit back and enjoy... Being able to speak briefly with the Aliens cast and some group photos at the Powerloader with them was a great experience... A Massive Thank You to Andy, Jason, Dave and the rest of the Monopoly Team for yet another great weekend and letting us be part of it!
- In Aberdeen Everyone Will Hear You Scream!
Where to start... Comic Con Scotland Aberdeen did not disappoint! Absolutely buzzing atmosphere on both days. Getting a group photo with the attending cast, Jenette Goldstein, Mark Rolston and William Hope on the Saturday was awesome. Mark holding an Incinerator, Jenette and William recreating their last scene in the film with S&W and M4O. How could that be topped? ...Probably on the Sunday when, after their amazing group talk when they rocked up to our display to take some pictures with our group and the towering Powerloader next to us. Great moment! We managed to raise £345.OO for CLAN Cancer Support , which is brilliant. The marine stickers and Weyland-Yutani patches were flying out of our hands. Over the last 12 months that takes the total that we've raised as a group for various charities to almost £2,5OO... amazing! Massive thank you to everyone that helped over the weekend, especially Monopoly and their dedicated team and the staff at P&J Live – we can't wait until next year's event!
- Capital Sci-Fi Con... "You're All Clear Kid"
We had an great time at Capital Sci-Fi Con over the weekend, helping them celebrate 1O years! Set-up in the main concourse, under super-smooth lighting, Halo Spartans & UNSC Marines greeted this years attendees and welcomed them to the O2 Academy, Edinburgh... taking photos, handing out stickers and sweets. I'm happy to report that a record amount said: "no thanks, I prefer fruit!" . Right next door was the JMC Crew and the Red Dwarf Sleeping Quarters and props display, which was popular as ever with everyone wanting to pick up the new Bazookoid, Lister's "Les" Guitar and the T. Holden's Tension Sheet... This time everyone seemed obsessed with asking for toast instead of confectionery! Ian McDiarmid was making his Scottish Comic Con bow, which is incredible to believe given how long the Star Wars Emperor has been going... a long time. There was also a really touching tribute to the late Angus MacInnes with a table and memory book, which was duly written in. We had fun running a raffle on both days and along with everyone who attended helped raise money for Capital's great cause, CHAS: Children's Hospices Across Scotland . We look forward to coming back next year and hope to see all the amazing and friendly people we met this year.
